Therapeutic, alignment-based yoga classes in Bemowo, Warsaw
Regular in-person yoga practice gives the body and mind a rhythm to return to — with clear guidance, alignment, breath awareness and steady therapeutic support.
The Bemowo Yoga Classes are local in-person classes in Warsaw for people who want therapeutic, precise and steady yoga practice.
The classes are rooted in Iyengar Evolution Yoga — an alignment-based method where postures are built carefully from the foundations and the body is guided with attention, support and awareness.
The aim is not to perform advanced shapes. The aim is to learn how to practise intelligently: how to stand, sit, move, breathe, rest and observe what is happening in your body and mind.
These classes are suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. You do not need to be flexible. You begin with the body you have now.

What kind of yoga is taught?
The practice is therapeutic, alignment-based and rooted in Iyengar Evolution Yoga.
Postures are built carefully from the foundations, with attention to the feet, legs, pelvis, spine, hands, shoulders, neck, head and breath.
Active foundations
- standing poses
- seated poses
- twists
- forward bends
- back bends
Support and adaptation
- supported postures
- simple inversions or preparations where appropriate
- restorative practice
- intelligent effort
Breath and quietening
- breath awareness
- relaxation
- preparation for seated practice
- preparation for meditation
The class may be more active, more restorative or a balance of both, depending on the group, the season and the needs of the students.
The focus is always the same: to practise with awareness, support and intelligent effort.
Why practise regularly?
One yoga class can bring relief. Regular practice builds awareness and brings transformation.
Through repetition, you begin to notice
- how you stand
- how you sit
- how you breathe
- where you hold tension
- where you overwork
- where you collapse
Practice becomes self-observation
- where you need support
- where you need strength
- how your mind reacts to effort
- how relaxation deepens the effect of practice
Yoga becomes more than stretching or exercise. It becomes a method of self-care and self-observation.
With time, regular practice can support steadier posture, more conscious movement, deeper breathing, calmer attention and a more intelligent relationship with your body.
What you may experience
With regular attendance, you may experience gradual changes in body awareness, steadiness, breath and confidence in practice.
- clearer body awareness
- better understanding of alignment
- more confidence in movement
- less unnecessary strain
- more conscious breathing
- greater steadiness and balance
- gradual improvement in mobility and strength
- deeper relaxation
- calmer nervous-system rhythm
- more awareness of stress patterns
- renewed motivation for self-practice
- a more grounded relationship with yourself
Every person experiences practice differently. The aim is not to promise a quick fix.
The aim is to create a steady rhythm where yoga can support body, breath and mind over time.
Therapeutic, but not medical treatment
These classes have a therapeutic approach, but they are still group yoga classes.
They can support body awareness, breath, posture, relaxation, movement and self-practice. They do not replace medical diagnosis, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or individual yoga therapy.
Please enquire before joining if you have:
- acute or severe pain
- recent injury or surgery
- neurological symptoms
- serious medical conditions
- significant fatigue
- pregnancy
- mobility limitations
- anything that may affect your ability to practise safely
A mature yoga practice includes awareness, patience and discernment. The aim is not to force the body. The aim is to practise in a way that supports steadiness, resilience and long-term wellbeing.
