Yoga Immersions

Yoga Immersions with Beata

Deepen your yoga practice through focused alignment, breath awareness and self-practice

A Yoga Immersion gives you time to go deeper than a regular weekly class.

Instead of practising in small fragments between daily responsibilities, you step into a focused rhythm where yoga becomes the centre of the day or weekend.

You practise more carefully. You observe the body more clearly. You refine alignment. You learn how breath, posture, attention and inner attitude work together.

You begin to understand not only what to practise, but how to practise.

These immersions are rooted in the traditional intensive course model: a clear structure of asana, breath awareness, relaxation, meditation preparation, self-practice and yogic reflection.

The word intensive does not mean that the practice is physically demanding or only for advanced students.

You give yourself time, attention and continuity — and through this, the body and mind begin to learn more deeply.

Choose your immersion format

Both formats are rooted in the same path of alignment-based yoga, breath awareness, self-practice and inner observation.

6-Day Yoga Immersion

A longer retreat-style immersion for people who want to step fully into practice for several days.

The 6-day format gives more time for daily asana, breath awareness, relaxation, meditation preparation, self-practice guidance, rest and integration.

This is suitable if you want to withdraw from ordinary routine, give your full attention to practice and experience yoga as a complete path of body, breath, mind and awareness.

Weekend Yoga Immersion

A shorter but focused retreat-style weekend for people who want depth, renewal and practical guidance without committing to a full week.

The weekend format gives time for alignment-based yoga, yoga philosophy, meditation, breath awareness, relaxation and self-practice inspiration.

This is suitable if you want a concentrated reset, a deeper experience than a regular class and clearer understanding of the method.

Who Yoga Immersions are for

A Yoga Immersion may be suitable if you want to practise with more seriousness, but without force.

  • want to deepen your yoga practice beyond weekly classes
  • want to learn the foundations of practice more clearly
  • are interested in therapeutic, alignment-based yoga
  • want to understand how posture, breath and attention work together
  • want guidance for self-practice
  • feel that your body needs more awareness, structure and support
  • want to reduce unnecessary tension and improve body awareness
  • need time away from daily busyness and overstimulation
  • are interested in yoga as a path of self-study and transformation
  • want to practise with seriousness, but without force

Yoga Immersions are suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. You do not need to be flexible or advanced. You need sincerity, attention and willingness to practise.

Beginners receive foundations. Experienced students receive refinement, depth and renewed inspiration.

What kind of yoga is taught?

The practice is therapeutic, alignment-based and rooted in Iyengar Evolution Yoga.

This means that postures are built carefully from the foundations. You learn to understand the relationship between the feet, legs, pelvis, spine, hands, shoulders, neck, head and breath.

Asana foundations

  • standing poses
  • seated poses
  • twists
  • forward bends
  • back bends
  • inversions

Support and therapeutic refinement

  • supported postures
  • restorative practice
  • corrective postures
  • energising and rejuvenating postures
  • relaxing and meditative postures

Breath and inner practice

  • breath awareness
  • pranayama practice
  • preparation for seated practice and meditation
  • guided relaxation
  • self-practice guidance

The aim is not to perform advanced shapes. The aim is to develop awareness, precision, stability, freedom and inner attention.

Why join a Yoga Immersion?

A regular class gives continuity. A Yoga Immersion gives depth.

When practice receives more time, you may notice…

  • how you use effort
  • where you hold unnecessary tension
  • where the breath becomes restricted
  • how posture affects the mind
  • how the mind reacts to challenge

And you may also notice…

  • which areas of the body need more support
  • how to adapt practice intelligently
  • what kind of sequence supports you
  • how relaxation deepens the effect of practice
  • what is needed for a sustainable self-practice

Yoga then becomes more than physical movement. It becomes a method of self-study.

Corrective, energising and meditative practice

A Yoga Immersion includes different qualities of practice. A complete yoga practice needs all three.

Corrective practice

Postures and methods that help you understand alignment, body habits, misalignment, unnecessary tension and compensation.

This can support better posture, safer movement and clearer body awareness.

Energising and rejuvenating practice

Practices that help regenerate the body, recharge vitality, improve nervous-system steadiness and bring more clarity into the body and mind.

This is especially important for people who feel tired, heavy, dull or disconnected from their energy.

Relaxing and meditative practice

Supported postures, breath awareness, relaxation and quieter practices that help the nervous system settle and attention turn inward.

This prepares the body and mind for seated practice, meditation and deeper self-observation.

Self-practice as the deeper aim

One of the main aims of a Yoga Immersion is to help you become more confident in your own practice.

How do I continue when I return home?

It is not enough to follow instructions during the retreat.

The deeper question is how to continue when you return home.

This is where yoga becomes part of life — not only something you attend, but something you learn to live.

During the immersion, you begin to understand…

  • what your body needs
  • which postures support you
  • how to use props
  • how to practise safely
  • how to balance effort and rest
  • how to adapt practice to energy, pain or fatigue
  • how to adjust practice to the time of day and the seasonal weather conditions
  • how to repeat simple practices consistently
  • how to build a rhythm that is realistic

You begin to understand not only what to practise, but how to practise.

What you may experience

Every person experiences practice differently. The purpose is not to force transformation. The purpose is to create the right conditions for practice to work.

Body and posture

  • clearer body awareness
  • improved understanding of alignment
  • release of accumulated tension
  • greater steadiness in posture

Breath and attention

  • more conscious breathing
  • calmer attention
  • a sense of inner reset
  • deeper connection with the meaning of yoga

Practice and self-study

  • better understanding of your physical habits
  • renewed motivation for practice
  • more confidence in self-practice
  • clearer understanding of how to continue

6-Day or Weekend Immersion — which should you choose?

Both formats are valuable. The right choice depends on your time, energy and readiness for immersion.

Choose the 6-Day Yoga Immersion if…

You want a longer retreat rhythm and can give several days fully to practice.

  • deeper immersion
  • more time for integration
  • fuller retreat rhythm
  • more detailed exploration of practice
  • yoga philosophy and meditation integrated into your practice
  • more space away from daily routine
  • a stronger reset for body and mind
  • deeper foundations for self-practice

Choose the Weekend Yoga Immersion if…

You want a concentrated but shorter experience.

  • a weekend reset
  • focused teaching
  • renewed motivation
  • practical alignment guidance
  • yoga philosophy and meditation elements
  • deeper practice without taking a full week away

  • pregnancy
  • significant anxiety, trauma symptoms or mental health concerns

Yoga Immersions do not replace medical diagnosis, medical treatment, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or prescribed care.

The aim is not to force the body.

The aim is to practise with awareness, support, discernment and respect for your current condition.

Her approach is rooted in Iyengar Evolution Yoga — a precise, therapeutic and awareness-based method where postures are built from the foundations, the body is aligned with care, and the breath is allowed to move with more freedom.

Beata’s background also includes Yoga Therapy training and certifications from The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, anatomy and physiology study, Vipassana meditation, Yoga Nidra, Naad Yoga and Ayurveda lifestyle practice.

For Beata, a Yoga Immersion is not about doing more for the sake of doing more.

It is about giving practice enough time, space and attention to reveal what is usually hidden by the speed of daily life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Yoga Immersion?

A Yoga Immersion is a focused retreat-style period of practice where yoga becomes the central rhythm of the week or weekend. It includes deeper asana practice, breath awareness, relaxation, self-practice guidance and inner observation.

Is this the same as a Yoga Intensive?

Yes. “Immersion” and “intensive” describe the same deeper format. We use “immersion” to emphasise depth, rhythm and full attention. Intensive does not mean forcing the body.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. Yoga Immersions are suitable for beginners as well as people who have practised for many years. Beginners learn foundations; experienced practitioners refine and deepen.

Do I need to be flexible?

No. Flexibility is not required. The practice is based on awareness, alignment, support and gradual understanding.

Is the practice physically demanding?

The immersion involves focused practice, but it is not aggressive. The level of physical demand depends on the format, the group and the individual. You are guided to practise with intelligence and respect for your body.

Will there be meditation?

Yoga Immersions may include meditation preparation, breath awareness, relaxation and quiet inward practice. The dedicated Yoga & Meditation Silent Retreat is the clearest meditation-focused retreat.

Will I learn how to practise at home?

Yes. Self-practice is one of the deeper aims of the immersion. You learn not only what to practise, but how to understand and continue practice after the retreat.

Which format should I choose first?

Choose the Weekend Yoga Immersion if you want a shorter, accessible retreat experience. Choose the 6-Day Yoga Immersion if you want deeper rhythm, more integration and a fuller retreat container.
